Below are notes our group made analysing the brief and thinking of questions to ask the school when we visit, in order to appear professional when we visit and get a clear idea of what we can and can't do, as well as general questions about the school and the children's ability. We also saw that from the brief workshops would likely be the best format, as we know a little bit of information about the students ( We will likely be working with Year 3 and Year 4 which means the children at the school will probably be ages 7-9, There are 30 students in every class which means we'll likely have to limit the amount of classes we take on, unless we work with a smaller group of students in a certain year group). The group technicians would need to figure out the cost of materials for doing activities and find cheap alternatives for some supplies. We could use a lot of the equipment already in the art department. The main questions the group want to know is how much engagement do they already have with arts, to be able to plan the activities we do in the future based on the ability level of the students. The time period of when we can do activities and workshops will need to be discussed, and being part of the communications team I will have to keep contacting our community partner through emails and organising dates for meetings. Another important thing to consider is whether we need to create a consent form for the parents of the students as we need photographic evidence for our project and we can't take photographs without having it confirmed that we are allowed. The list of questions we made is quite comprehensive and hopefully all of our questions will be answered.
